HANOI WINTER MOMENTS

The impending winter fills expatriate Hanoians with a sense of homesickness. Someone may choose to return for a day or two to appreciate the cold that the South cannot provide, and then go.

Winter brings back many memories for youngsters who have lived far away yet have had a long connection to Hanoi. It was normal when they were in the capital, but they only felt the ache when they were far away.

Winter is most lyrical when you first wake up in the morning or when you return in the evening. Many people enjoy sitting on the sidewalk in the mornings, watching the world go by, and in the afternoons, sipping refreshments. On the pavement, you may get wormwood eggs, fried banh chung, hot cakes, or a bowl of porridge with minced ribs.

Looking out the window when the temperature is cold, you can see the white silver and the wind blowing the dark yellow fallen leaves on the road. People appear to be hurrying more and faster, as though trying to avoid the cold by wearing not-so-thick, warm clothing.

The winter in Hanoi is thought to be becoming harsher as the number of automobiles and motorcycles on the road increases. The pure noises have vanished, replaced by the rumble of the engine during rush hour. However, the capital still has a romantic side to it that only those who truly grasp may appreciate Hanoi's winter splendor.

    

The sky is dark on rainy days, and the mist of water is foggy on the hair and on the shirt like hoarfrost. The cold followed, absorbing into the skin as well. The fog floats across the vast lake surface on the west side of West Lake, darkening the trees and foliage along the Thanh Nien road. As a characteristic aspect of Hanoi's winter, there are still little stores offering hot tea cups, ginger sweets, and peanut candies somewhere amid the hurry and bustle of life.

Hanoi gets exceedingly chilly when the weather in the north gets really cold. Sitting at a street-side refreshment store staring through the window with a cup of warm coffee, biting on pumpkin seeds and melon seeds while looking out at the street in the early morning, when the sun's new rays shine through the gap in the leaves, is the way to go. that so many people choose. Many visitors, even those from far away, like experiencing Hanoi's bitter cold.

Hanoi's winter beauty may be felt not only while you walk around the streets, sipping coffee on the sidewalk, but visitors and children can also partake in the nightlife, which includes grilled spring rolls and snails. Young people are familiar with boiled chestnuts, oatmeal, pho, and other difficult-to-find meals such as veggies and lice, which are only offered in specific locales.
