NEW TRANSPORT SYSTEM IN HANOI

Recently, after 10 years waiting for this new version of transportation, the electrical train from Ha Dong district to Cat Linh district has been finished and got into the operating experiment from November 6^th and expected to start officially on November 21^st. This is the development of Vietnam public transport comparing to popular old buses in the past. Moreover, the route that has the electrical train is one of the most crowded and busiest areas in Hanoi when HaDong district has high population density with many apartment buildings and  big universities.

A lot of Hanoians got excited with this train, they expected this will be the future transport since there is always traffic jam around that area. Under the capacity of 960 passengers with total 13 trains in Ha Dong – Cat Linh, this will help the traffic situation in Hanoi to be much better. People will never need to be worried to miss the train since the amount of time for the next train is only 6 minutes. On the first trial day, not only people who have daily commuting needs participated in, the elderly also came to try. They are excited to try something new and can even see the upper view of the city when the train is running. For them, this is also a better replacement to travel around when the line is safer and have a lot of support for the elderly, including easy ticket purchase and spacious stairs.  

Now the citizens can easily update and search about the train line’s schedule available on an app called Train Map. When users enter their destination and departure location, the app displays a variety of travel alternatives for them to consider. If a rail line is available, TrainMap will recommend it, along with an estimated time and cost. This app also provides other options, such as walking distance, suggested walk to bus, or calling a ride-hailing service.

Many people compare Hanoi BRT train line with the Sky train in Bangkok, Thailand. If just the apperance of the two train line, there are a lot of commons and especially both are on the upper line with the streets

The most exciting is, out of people expectation, this is even become the hottest check-in destination for the youngsters. The pictures and videos taken in BRT line are on every social media sites from Facebook, Instagram to Tiktok and Youtube. On the first couple of days, many types of contents have been taken from the train line. Specially like a wedding photo shoot on the train or videos of the differences in each station’s decoration or even many pictures turned out to be having old vibe or Japanese vibe with it.
